"This coffee spot is within a Harley Davidson dealership which is a great backdrop even if your not into bikes. The furniture is eclectic, adding additional character to the place. The food choices are limited but the coffee is very good most of the time. There is sometimes an issue with consistency due to the turnover of staff. Our pet hate is that staff sweep the concrete floor including under tables and chairs while people are still eating. A really poor practice and creates dust around the customers."

"In Rockhampton and it is brunch time. We had seen in our motel an advertisement for the Merlo Coffee Café. It was just a few blocks from where we were, so that’s where we went. Then it got confusing …. Merlo Coffee Café is a part of The Coffee House Restaurant which in turn is part of The Coffee House Apartment Motel. Took me a short time to sort that out! After being warmly greeted, we were shown to a table for two, provided with menus and also made aware of the current specials even though we were there for brunch. A short while later we had decided and the duty waiter came over and took the order. No surprises with my travelling partner – fried eggs and bacon on toast. I was feeling in a healthy mood so for me crunchy Granola with coconut yoghurt, dragonfruit, passionfruit, blueberries strawberries and mint Greek. For both us a flat white coffee each. Costings were reasonable for what was on offer."

"We had brunch on a Friday morning. It is busy so eitherbook or expect to wait. My wife had bacon and eggs it was a generous portion. I had the tortilla with eggs, avo, bacon and beans with a corn salsa it was...excellent"

"Best Malayalam meal in town, I have been to Rockhampton twice and eaten here twice on each trip. Each time I have been here the restaurant is always full, so it's better to book a table. I have not seen one dissatisfied customer,"
