"In an unpretentious way, Los Chapulines, located just 100 metres from the St. Guadalupe church in San Cristobal, a few blocks removed from the busy part of Real Guadalupe, offers a delightful array of freshly cooked dishes. I was attracted by pics of Tlayuda, a folded over wrap containing freshly BBQ'd meat and local cheeses. Served crisp and hot with an array of spicy condiments, costing 85 pesos. More than sufficient for even a normal sized adult. Cold beer went well with it. One of my best and filling meals on this trip., Tlayuda, sometimes spelled clayuda, is a handmade dish in traditional Oaxacan cuisine, consisting of a large, thin, crunchy, partially fried or toasted tortilla covered with a spread of refried beans, asiento, lettuce or cabbage, avocado, meat, Oaxaca cheese, and salsa"

"We can't say enough good things about this incredible restaurant here My husband and I had a chance to meet the owners and they were super nice! The food was incredible, the service was phenomenal and the place spotlessly clean. On our second visit we ended up discovering the quaint little upstairs restaurant that's part of this pizzeria PS this is where all fun happens! In short if you're looking for a place for great food where you will not get sick while travelling this is the place to go.."

"So I went and checked Taqueria Bendita upon the recommendation of a friend, and omg. Delicious affordable food (try the taquitos de chapulines! unforgettable! , warm and friendly staff, great music and atmosphere (decor is on point! and of course there's the mezcal! The widest selection of mezcals I've come across, all with their own delicious qualities. The Meszcal degustation is a must-do. All in all 6 out of 5 stars for an authentic Mexican experience. Visited twice now, and I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!"
