"I went into this bar for a drink and some tapas. After the drinks and the tapas had been passed over I was given change for a smaller note than I had handed over to pay. The bar staff who had spoken good English up to that point suddenly stopped being able to communicate with me, but telling the other people at the bar that I was stupid for not knowing what note I had handed over I knew full well what sort of note it was as it had come out of a cashpoint machine five minutes earlier). And the tapas were terrible."

"This place was suggested to us at the tourist office when we commented on the apparent lack of vegetarian options for eating out. It did not disappoint and we ended up going there twice out of our 3 day stay (we may have gone 3 times if we had found the place sooner! Maria welcomed us with a smile each time and was very friendly and helpful. She was very patient with us as we tried to practice our Spanish too. The food was freshly prepared and really nice... it made such a change from the diet I had got used to since arrival in Spain which was predominantly just bread, cheese or egg in one form or another. We were encouraged to see bottles water only available in glass bottles and no plastic straws... they are a very environmentally aware business. We would definitely recommend this hidden gem of a restaurant especially if you are veggie or vegan although there are also meat options."
