"Don't be fooled by the bustling Moby Dick right beside this place. You might be tempted to go where all the tourists flock to but Coney Island is where I go for some good food. The portions are good, borderline too good, the fish is fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the batter without being greasy, and you get lean chips that are't soggy straight out the kitchen. Honestly, this is what fish and chips are all about. The side orders are great as well, like the calamari or their manhattan style clam chowder. You want good fish and chips? "My bf and I come here when we want a nice romantic dinner. We eat here while watching the sun set and then walk the pier afterwards. The inside of the restaurant is dim with candles. There is a patio as well. Our favourite dish is the Creole chicken, it's topped with lobster, prawns, scallops, jalapenos & julienne peppers in a spiced butter sauce. Usually its $34 but sometimes on Tuesdays it's $25. Every other dish we have tried is good too."

"We've been to PG's several times previously and always ordered the jerk chicken. I have to agree with the reviewer who stated the spices were too hot to enjoy. This is something new and I'll probably not order it again. On the other hand we found the goat curry on the bland side. Perhaps our taste buds were affected by the initial bites of jerk chicken. Thank goodness they had ice cold beer available."

"We found Barrique today and can't say how much we liked it. Finally a burger that was a true burger. The croque madame was fantastic. With two vegetarians Chef Josiah suggested swap the ham for mushrooms, not one type but several made to the plate, nearly made me want to give the burger. Lets not talk about the dessert all good but the creme burlee (a true test of a great chef) was fantastic Service was quick professional but very friendly. We will definitely be back soon!"
