"We have pre-ordered a meal to serve eight, and it was ready for picking up at the agreed time and price. Generally everyone was served at home with the food for our first experience with this place. the portions were not excessively generous, but this is a frequent complaining with Indian restaurants that I tried in the Ottawa area. only the wobbles bhaji was a frequent complaining at our table [too greasy and fragmented] but the butter chicken and beef curries got high marks, also from our grandchildren who are creepy about Indian goodies. the price was a bit high, but Indian food, generally no cheap meal anywhere in my experience. So, they'll try if they don't. we go back and try the buffet now that this devastated pandemic finally seems to disappear."

"We have just enjoyed our second Indian dinner in 3 weeks from Karara in Kanata, and are very pleased with both the service and food. We have ordered on-line both times - easy, efficient and the food has been delivered on time by very friendly staff. I can't comment on the restaurant itself as we have only availed ourselves of ordering in. We have tried 3 or 4 dishes each time (particularly love the Saag Chicken) and they are well flavoured, plentiful in quantity and delicious, and the naan and samasos are awesome. Another nice feature is the ability to order each dish by level of heat. For us, just having an Indian restaurant that delivers is a major bonus, saving us having to go out and pick up food after a long day. I should mention that neighbours of ours have ordered 4 or 5 times from this same restaurant with equally happy results. In my opinion, definitely worth a try!"

"This is the best Indian food I’ve had since leaving Toronto for Ottawa. I can only comment on the take out and not the actual restaurant itself. High quality meat excellently flavoured in the curry dishes. Thick flavourful curries. Very large portions, certainly enough to...split a curry dish and a rice order for two people as a meal, plus or minus an appetizer. Will recommend to anyone looking for casual Indian, and will continue to order from here."

"Five of us dined at Mia's for our first time on Friday night. The food was absolutely the best. Every dish we shared was so flavourful. Beef Vindaloo was melt in your mouth tasty, but also comes with a warning, that the heat level is not for the mild spice diners. Our friendly and helpful server, the head chef's wife, made sure we had plenty of water to keep the fire under control. The tandoori chicken was tender and moist and every bite came with the distinctive smokey tandoor flavour. The butter chicken was creamy and savoury, and the plate consisted of all chicken breast, no dark meat. The apps were equally delicious including the naan, garlic and regular, which were served hot out of the oven. The wine choices were fine, although our red wine was served quite warm, but not enough to return it. However, the mango lassi's were cold and refreshing. This small and well decorated Indian restaurant probably doesn't get the social media credit that it deserves. Probably because it's not located in the usual dining districts, but with plenty of parking and a very accessible location, I would highly recommend you experience the professional and friendly staff at Mia's St. Laurent, the food will speak for itself. "We love indian food but don't go often as he one's around us are pretty similar and nothing extraordinary. If we lived near Mukut we'd go more often. In fact we went back the next night.the Chicken Dansak was our favorite. Not sure what persian style is but it gave it some flavors we weren't used to but really liked.The lamb korma came in a close secondThe next night we tried the aloo gobi (our goto dish in india as it was usually one that was the quickest). It was not as strong as the others but still decent. The Kashmiti chicken could have used a bit more of the dried fruit flavor. Still a strong dish."

"This little hole in the wall restaurant is worth the lineup and the cramped quarters. Their Thali and garlic naan are the best I've had in Ottawa. Plus there's a little Indian grocer next door where you can get delicious samosas and burfi to take home."

"We were at the buffet on Saturday afternoon. the owner was very aware of what vegan do and do not eat and showed on suitable options. the buffet was mostly vegan. it wasn't the hottest food I've ever had until temeratur goes, but it was very tasty and each dish had another taste. the aubergine and potato peel were particularly good."
