"Dined here on a quiet Saturday lunch; a small fine dining Italian restaurant with some tables and a few counter seating at the wine bar. Had the following from the menu: Complimentary bread with olive oil was ok Poach lobster dish; one of the specials off the menu, the lobster itself was good; soft and sweet. But didn't enjoy the rest of the dish; the foamy cream using lobster head didn't have much flavour and the capsicum cake was soft and soggy; not much texture to the dish Red prawn crudo; very fresh and sweet tasting, bursting with concentrated flavour from the prawn and basil oil. The pear shards added a nice thin crisp to the bite Spaghettini was cooked perfectly with large chunks of juicy and tender moreton bay bugs; sauce was savory with a mild garlic taste and the rocket leaves helped soaked up the sauce Chocolate and orange delice; a well balanced dessert, the orange jelly layer in the delice added another dimension of flavour complimenting the sweetness of the chocolate, sorbet was refreshing and the chocolate soil had a pleasant mix of flaky and crispy textures instead of the generic crumbly biscuit soilOverall the dishes ordered from the main menu was delicious and the service was great."

"We used to love going to the old Bok Choy Tang upstairs. It has moved - or more likely the name has been bought (the level of service is now vastly inferior) and it is now situated in a pokey little cafe on the ground.There is no signage indicating the place. From the outside it looks like an average local coffee shop. We were confused by its outward appearance.We asked a young female staff member if it was Bok Choy Tang and were taken aback by her rude response,We had booked a table and walked into the cafe. No-one ushered us to our table at first. Eventually we had a finger pointed towards a space tucked into an awkward corner and we sat down.It was clear that the place was disorganized. Staff were wandering around with no real purpose when they were on the floor, but mostly they kept disappearing out the back.Even the menus were of poor laminated cafe standard and the font very hard to read. The prices were "tourist" prices and didn't look like good value at all.We can't comment on the food as we made a quick decision to leave and spend our money elsewhere.The whole vibe of the place was very amateurish."

"Absolutely loved this little find in North Melbourne. The food, service and wine list were brilliant - Well done!!We had such a good experience here - the food was amazing - we had lots of different entree's and mains, so a good range of food - it was all wonderful.The wine list was great also and the staff were very knowledgeable and enjoyed sharing their wine experiences too. Absolutely loved this restaurant and will definitely be back.Cheers"

"The base of the red velvet $9) is stunning, managing to be delicate and soft yet dense and richly flavoured. It really is unlike any other cake I’ve tried. The vanilla buttercream is silky and light but I would have preferred even a little tang of cream cheese as I found the cake to become a bit monotonous without it. Still one of the best cakes I've ever eaten though.<br/ <br/ The smoky choc chip cookie $3) was nice but just alright. The smoky flavour was subtle.<br/ <br/ Very keen to return and try everything else."

"Tre Bichieri has great coffee and a next level steak sandwich. Wow! The satisfying crunch into the toasted and buttered sourdough bread enveloping the tender juicy steak, fresh fresh fresh lettuce, tomato and sweet caramelised onions, will leave you so incredibly satisfied. The sandwich comes with crispy and hot shoestring French fries. The café late was silky smooth. In my opinion, it is the best coffee on Rathdowne Street. I have tried their smash burger on another occasion, it was flavourful and satisfying. The owner served me, he was hospitable and warm. Just wish the café stays open longer so the Carlton library goers can pop out and get a coffee later in the afternoon."
