"I have lived in Bloor West Village for 25 years, and only discovered this hidden gem when friends came to visit. We were there on a Thursday night, initially ONLY people at 7 pm, but a dozen others soon followed. EXCELLENT FOOD - weel priced."

"I ordered takeout from this restaurant yesterday, and was very excited to try the food after seeing the great reviews. I ordered online through their website, and received the confirmation that my food would be ready in half an hour. However, after walking there to pick up my food (in the rain), I found the door locked and the restaurant closed. I double-checked the hours and saw that it was supposed to be open. There was no note on the door either. I had not received any communications from the restaurant that it was closed. It has been a day and I have not received an e-mail or follow-up at all. I live and work in the area, so I am pretty disappointed that this will not become a new place to go. I would not recommend take-out, or just dropping by to eat, without verifying by phone that they are actually open when their hours state."

"Perfect location to enjoy the morning for the Toronto Waterfront Marathon. All options at this St Lawrence Market location indoor and outdoor seating and carry out. Peameal sandwiches the go to for sure. Full bar. Located at the 21K mark of the marathon route. Catch the runner coming at the halfway mark and down the stretch with just a couple of kilometers left on the way to the finish."

"Have a few evenings here in September 2021 and will never forget. First, the entire neighborhood of the Kensington Market has a special ambience and atmosphere. And then El Rey! Both nights my wife and I sat outside under big people, heating and fantastic El Rey servers. Had some great drinks and our server was happy – and he was interested in our origins, Copenhagen, and we were interested in insider tips on Toronto and Kensington Market. And he was very cool and gave us a lot of cool information. The tacos were very delicious! I personally love the Painkiller cocktail. Being in a Mezcal Bar, I turned to her cocktail Just take it and wow what a treat! Loves food, service, drinks and vibe."

"Came here for Mother's Day. The garden in the back was nice. The food came out late due to "computer issues" but I figured the server could have told the kitchen? The coffee also came cold. The environment is very nice and the hostess was accommodating for where we wanted to sit with a toddler and a baby."
