"I ate at Cafe Rustica this weekend. I ordered the Wood Oven Baked Rigatoni with mushrooms, beef bolognese sauce and parmesan cheese. After just a few bites I gave up eating what I can only describe as a disgusting dish. The dish had a skin of dried out baked parmesan cheese and congealed sauce. The pieces of meat and mushroom where minuscule in what only could be described as gravy – in no way a bolognese sauce. The pasta was way overlooked. There is no way I would consider eating there again or recommending it to anyone."

"This California casual cafe does things right. Just a few miles from Carmel by the Sea, it is worth the drive to this snug stucco restaurant with fire roasted pizzas and a spacious outdoor courtyard. We are particularly fond of the Meyer Lemon with proscuitto. We also ordered the pear salad beautifully plated delicate greens with a slightly sweet dressing and hazelnuts. The pear half is stuffed with blue cheese and roasted. Our only wish is that they would add tap IPA beer and non alcoholic beers. But we can't have everything ;"

"Overall, it was a good experience. I guess selling the local artwork on the walls. Our server had a few fumbles with our drinks, but it was very friendly and met our needs well. I had the pulled pork sandwich with a salad. I liked it even though it was very easy on sauce and dressing (I would ask for extra sauce when I went back). The general consensus on my table was that the food was enjoyable, but nothing really came out."
