"Flavours are good, service was great. The pasta sauces were good themselves I just wished the pasta noodles were more flavourful. And also wished the Eggplant Parmigiana had more eggplant in it, it had lots of mozzarella though so was tasty still. The atmosphere is quite nice and comfortable. Will come back to try other dishes. Went at 5pm when dining room had only a couple of people but then got seated at an awkward 2-person table that was next to the utensil station. I understand this table was probably only placed here for spacing out for Covid precautions but still, the rest of the restaurant was basically empty at the time. The restaurant filled up fast though. So close to 4 stars."

"We stopped into the Beagle after work one day for drinks and an early dinner....I had a Ceasar, my husband ordered a beer. Just a nice relaxing spot to chat with each other before the night crowd starts to trickle in. We were offered the dinner menu and were a little disappointed to see it had changed. We usually order the sliders which were really good. However, they are no longer available.We tried the calamari and order a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. The calamari was good, though portion very small for the price. Then came the pizza. Disappointing. Described as loaded with mushrooms and pepperoni was a bit of a stretch. The center of the pizza soggy and over loaded with sauce. Oh well.. our server was nice...and we enjoyed our drinks.We did see the table beside us order nachos, and the portion was huge, so that seems like something that would be great to share and good value. All in all, it is one of our locals, and does have a good patio being as spring is coming. I'm sure we'll go back, just hope they do something to improve their kitchen offerings."

"I have been coming here since they opened three years ago. They have a great breakfast on offer. Used to go to Slickity Jim's on Main, then discovered this place right by my home. Like it more! They provide a small salad with your breakfast, great roasted yam and potatoes, and a very good coffee to boot! Only draw back is queuing up to get in if you arrive at prime time on Sat or Sun mornings after 10:00 am. The service here is fine. I read a complaint in the West Ender newspaper in Vancouver, but they really try hard here to help you out. It is not vegetarian however, so my kosher abiding spouse can't eat here..boo hoo!"

"My wife and I have been coming here on a regular basis for brunch on Saturdays for over ten years (apart from the COVID interruption)... and marvel at how wonderful this is. The Ratatouille and Shakshuka are wonders a veritable party in your mouth ... And no one makes a better Lavendar Latte. We occasionally come by for lunches and event occasion dinners and find these to be similarly wonderful. But weekends wouldn 't be weekends without our walk to Chambar!"

"We went here for a family birthday dinner and we're not disappointed. We were 9 adults, one toddler and 2 babies and had no problems. The kids were messy eaters but our server took it all in stride. The service was fast, friendly and efficient and everyone enjoyed their food. They have burgers, tapas and so on,but also 3 course dinners, including steak and chicken. The beer drinkers in the group were totally satisfied."

"I have had 3 wonderful evening meals at The Cove that have been delicious. The first one was seafood linguine. It was simply amazing and delicious. I have noticed that not many places serve this meal and so its a real treat and treasure to...find it at The Cove. The second meal I has was a delicious burger with yam fries. Both were cooked to perfection and I enjoyed every bite. The third meal was a salmon burger that was super yummy also. The service was wonderful and the chef even visited me and gave me some extra yam fries which I thought was so kind. Thanks Cove Folks Much appreciation."
