"Pricey, yes, but I haven 't had tastier bread loaves in any other place. Just thinking about it makes me hungry! I guess 'you get what you pay for '. Not the daily bread I could afford, but from time to time and whenever Im around Granville Island, I get it for sure. Great staff!"

"Coziest coffee house on davie? Perhaps... I love the all day breakfast menu, vancouver needs more! I had the breakfast croissant, it had a layer of black forrest ham, topped with 2 scrambled eggs some tomatoes and a ridiculous amount of cheddar cheese. It came with a side of hot sauce which was nice, and for 6.25 you cant complain. The coffee here is pretty good too. Well done coffee house, well done."

"I think the experience has to do with the food u order. I was here another time and it wasn’t as pleasant. Glad I gave it a second chance . I’m going to stick to ordering the same thing when I return.The dishes in the attached photo:Spicy beef noodlesSquid tentacles (ask for a dipping sauce)Taro slush with coconut jellyPassionfruit green teaThe male server gave really good service too. Not sure if it’s because it wasn’t too busy but he was really attentive and didn’t rush us out. We ended up tipping 20% which is considerably high for a casual bubble tea establishment."

"Good desserts, so so bread. Stuart's makes some great individual desserts. When my wife and I are on Granville Island buying items to make a fancy dinner, we also like to pop over to Stuart's for a couple of their New York style cheesecakes. We don't make whole cheesecakes at home any more because we don't need the calories, but Stuart's single serve is just right. Suitably dense, good flavour on the chocolate variety. I had a caramel topped chocolate mousse last night that had more than a centimeter of dulce de leche layered on it not that there's anything wrong with that! (As long as I only eat one... <br/ <br/ OTOH, I bought a loaf of Stuart's levain bread one time that had good texture, but almost no taste. Boring. <br/ <br/ I didn't know this place had a connection to Max's Deli on Oak and 15th until I wrote this review, but now I can see the connection. I find both places to be stronger with their sweets than their savouries."

"Picked up the Almond Croissant Crown for the croissant crawl and was pretty fantastic. Talked to the owner and said she uses Irish butter so can really taste it in the layers. Only problem is that you can’t finish it in one sitting (if that was ever a problem. Totally coming back."

"Enjoyed a nice lunch todays. I had the salami and capocollo panini with a caffe mocha. The mocha came with a piece of biscotti, it was perfect. Service was prompt and friendly. I walked in just in time with many people coming in right after. The place got busy quickly. I’ve had their ice cream before and it was delicious too, will have to try the pastries next."
