"When I visited they had four vegan gelato flavours, dark chocolate, blueberry and lemon, almond, and strawberry. The lady was very keen to let me try them all before deciding and they were all delicious, especially the blueberry one. Three scoops in a cup was €3.80"

"I think reservations are recommended, it was busy when I was there. It is definitely a must dine when in Vienna. I was in Vienna for 4 nights and came here twice. My waitress was Susi. She is incredible. Great recommendations and fluent in English....First night I had the 4 course chef's menu with wine pairings. I am not much of a white wine drinker so Susi adjusted the wines to my liking. The wines and food entrees were all excellent. And the entire staff is really into the dining experience. The second night I went a la carte and had the duck breast. I have had duck breast in various parts of France and this was the best duck breast I have ever had. To summarize, the menu is excellent but they hit a home run with the food preparation, the wine pairings and the entire staff is totally committed to your satisfaction in a low key way. Highly recommend!"

"My husband and I came to this restaurant on a recommendation from our Hotels instagram. It did not disappoint. Our server was so lovely and friendly. The interior was really nice and cozy too and full of locals. They had recently changed their menus so...it was only in German (which we didn't understand) but the waitress helped us out with translations. My husband had the das backhendl and it was truly amazing! I don't actually like fried chicken at all but this dish was amazing. I ordered the paprikahendl and that was also super tasty as well. We were too full for desert which is a shame because I think it would have been great. The tea was also great- they give a pot full of boiling water and then honey/lemon and fresh mint, ginger and thyme on the side."

"It was nice to escape t he cold outside by going into this large cellar restaurant. They specialize in tafelspitz and pork knuckle both of which we ordered. I liked the tafelspitz although the pork knuckle was quite salty (meant to be, I guess I'd...describe the food overall as kind of simple but homely. Several different wait staff served us and they ranged from being very friendly to slightly rude. I did try to speak a few German phrases but one waitress (who dealt with the bill) seemed to not like serving us at all. It was a shame as the other servers were absolutely fine and one chatted in English with one of our kids, so overall it was still a pleasant experience. It's also a very atmospheric place so I would still recommend it."
