"I was here for lunch with my team from work. There were about 5 different fixed menus to choose from, and I selected the veal saltimbocca with polenta. Everthing was deliciously prepared, and I can recommend this place for a classic Swiss meal."

"Nach einem Jahr wieder einmal im Restaurant Gustav. Die Ambiance, das Personal, das Essen: Es stimmt einfach alles. Wir waren zu viert zum Mittagessen und sämtliche Gerichte (Fleisch, als auch Fisch) waren hervorragend, auf den Punkt zubereitet. Und das Personal ist noch freundlicher und hilfreicher als vor einem Jahr. Eigentlich für Zürich noch immer ein Geheimtip, da es am Ende der Europaallee, in der Nähe der Langstrasse liegt - und nicht im Zentrum von Zürich. Und wo sonst kommt der Chef persönlich, selbst beim Mittagessen, an jeden Tisch, begrüsst die Gäste und fragt, wie das Essen war. Das ist Demut und Bescheidenheit in Person. Auf einem sehr hohen Niveau!"

"What a combination! An outdoor swimming pool during a day (crystal clear water!!!) and a bar during an evening / night! I could not believe my eyes when I went there. Place got packed in like 5 minutes after being opened. Plenty of people drinking, eating, chatting and enjoying life. Will definitely come back when next time in Zurich!"

"We didn’t have reservations because I was stuck in traffic and wasn’t sure when I’d get there. Plus it was a Wednesday evening, so we thought it couldn’t be too crowded. We were wrong! When we arrived, there was one small table in a corner that my friend and I barely fit into. Our charming waitress, Sophia, said a larger table was about to become available and we could move as soon as it was cleared. Well we took it upon ourselves to move our settings over when it was empty and we were much happier. We really appreciated her consideration, especially on a busy night. My dinner companion had been raving about a glorious fondue she’d had a few years ago but couldn’t remember the name of the place turns out, this was it! The menu is pretty limited fondue, raclette and a few other things. (We were there for the fondue so I’m not too sure what else was offered. And it was outstanding. Rich, bubbly, full flavored amazing. We’d had fondue at another place nearby the day before and it was oddly a little bland. Nor was it bubbling hot like Raclette Stube. We started with salads. I don’t know what they put in their dressing (we asked Sophia but she swore it was a family secret but it’s really good. Then straight to the fondue, served with bread and little boiled potatoes. I actually preferred the potatoes somehow they seemed less starchy than another piece of bread. Sophia recommended a great local white wine as “the perfect wine for fondue” and she was right. All in all, it was a great experience for our last night in Zurich. And now that we know the name, we’ll definitely be back when we are in Zurich. Highly recommend! (And Sophia was great!"

"Title says it all. A bit pretentious for no good reason. Food was nothing special. Pasta was bland no flavor and not al dente. Veal scaloppine in lemon sauce was swimming in butter made me nauseous. The only saving grace was the espresso. Could be the best I ever had. Service was super slow. Had audacity to ask for tip even though there was already a service charge on the menu. I will NOT return"
