"I was on a work trip in the hotel for a few days and the whole place could be characterized as friendly but a bit eccentric. the food was very good, but we just had a simple 3-course every night and it wasn't... really in the same league as other 1 star restaurants I had. I also miss all the beautiful little surprises that a top notch menu just a bit more special. Yes, we have a funny ass, but that was about extras. the service was certainly not on the right level. For example, when dinner at the first night, the waiter opened a bottle of wine and gave it straight into our glasses without tasting it to everyone. I also had to stand up from the table to bring our water bottle to the refill glasses, as there were no waiting staff to see that. the compensation is that the whole stay is very good for what we got and I guess that because we were there the week in a quiet season, we did not get the full treatment. I was glad that I was there for work and not pay with my own money, though, I think if I was there for a special weekend, expecting a michelin star experience, I would have been very disappointed."
