"J'ai découvert ce restaurant par Groupon et j'en suis emerveillée.A l'entrée, l'oeuf cocotte au saumon fumé: un délice, puis le pavé de saumon sauce gingembre et citron vert: à tomber par terre. C'est sur, j'y retournerai . J'ai hate de découvrir d'autres surprises de la carte à prix tout à fait abordable. Je vous le conseille sans modération."

"In Lille for hours over the long weekend , forgot that everything closes in France on a Sunday and so choices were limited. Luckily we found this place and it wasn’t too far from our hotel and the main square. managed to make reservation at The place didn’t seem too packed when we rocked up, but it filled up quickly (glad we booked the place was fully booked with locals at with table rejections coming in every minutes . The waitress that served us wasn’t too hot on English, however this is where google translate had our backs. I ordered the snails in some shape or form and the missus ordered the frois gras. Snails came in a some sort of mini pastry and cream sauce- was excellent and the fois gras was expected. Great starters over all. I then had the beef with something of a rather and the missus with the veal- again my limited French only covered the primary meat but not the additions. What came was some perfectly cooked beef and veal on a bed of black garlic cream sauce, sweet potato mash and some baby potatoes. It was Magnificent. Service tapered off a little near the end as I doubt they were expecting such a busy evening- Overall great experience and great food"

"Beautiful decoration, typical of the estaminet! The food is very good but not enough fries accompanying the carbonnade. the negative point: it is mainly lit to the candle, a little dark in the evening; We're tight at the table, it's complicated to get out of it."

"This place is fabulous. As a vegan I enjoyed having a choice of dishes to start with! The food was well-cooked, fresh, organic and served up by a friendly gentleman. I cannot praise this place highly enough."

"I was in Lille for 2 nights for a conference and this bistro was around the corner from my hotel. Ate here both nights, and took advantage of the 5 7pm nightly happy hour. Great food, helpful staff (polite and patient with us despite our awful attempts to speak the language). Had the burger on day 1 (cooked medium perfectly not underdone as can be the case in France) and a rump steak on day 2. Both delicious dishes delivered speedily to the table. I highly recommend the dessert board (check out my pics). As an indication of value between us, we had a bottle of wine plus two shorts, along with two steaks and two desserts. Bill came to €65. Really good value in my opinion. Merci beaucoup!"
