"Tourist restaurant. Food was filling but much of it lacked the flavor I like in authentic Italian food. Dessert was delicious and the service was prompt. Music would've been more suited to an elevator. I expected more in a place full of pianos. Good value for the money and location. If you're from Wisconsin and scared of a real NYC experience, look no further."

"Walked into this charming Italian restaurant for the first time the other evening. I did not have a reservation, but my aunt and I were promptly greeted and offered a table by the window. Our meal was delicious- I had the server’s recommendation of seafood pasta. Wine list was very very good. The staff was detail oriented, the ambiance was romantic, and the music was complimentary. Into our meal, my aunt, who had just had hip surgery, needed to use the bathroom. I didn’t realize it was not on the ground level, but when my aunt asked where the bathrooms were, the owner was so kind to help walk her down the stairs to their bathroom. Great food, great service, a nice family spot. Will definitely be returning!"

"We were very disappointed with the food as we know what authentic Moroccan dishes should taste like. The Coucous was under seasoned and the sauce was tasteless. The Bastilla was dry and overcooked and the pastry was chewy not flaky. We found that the cost charged was not a good value for the taste and quality of the dishes. When we were told that the chef was Asian we then realized why the dishes were not tastefully authentic! As the food was not good we would not recommend eating there. If you would like to go there to have entertainment music and belly dancing and have a few drinks that’s great, but don’t rely upon the food to be authentic and delicious Moroccan food with tasty spaces where appropriate. Next time we will stick with the Byblos which we know is a great place with fantastic food."

"The food is average, the costs are above average, the service is poor, longer waiting times. The best quality of this restaurant is that it is quiet and can have a conversation."

"Its a cosy spot, but if you visit during summer ask to sit in the backyard...you’ll have more space and you’ll definitely get a more Caribbean/chill vibe. I visited with my husband and we had the bake and shark, jerk chicken and the plantains in the tamarind sauce. The bake and shark was as advertised....exceptional, but that plantain in tamarind...woye!!! I don’t think i can go back to regular plantains. I also have to say that the drinks were well mixed and presented and very refreshing. Service was good, we weren’t bombarded by someone every five mins mid bite and our water glasses were always full. Yeah we will be returning for another plate of plantains with tamarind sauce."

"TLDR: If you must come here stick with the appetizers (except the duck meatballs). The entrees and Cote de Rhone red wine were mediocre. Not recommended. Overall rating: C+ My party of 4 came here on Saturday at 5pm before The Ferryman play. Easy OpenTable reservation. The restaurant is smaller and intimate with chandeliers. There are 2 single occupancy bathrooms on the same floor. The service was good. Here 's what we got: -Complimentary bread and butter: Not French baguettes but decent. B- -Grilled Octopus, black olive tapenade, aged red wine vinaigrette: This was AMAZING! The octopus was fresh, cooked perfectly, and very flavorful. A+ -Mediterannean Tapas, grape leaves, baba ghannoug, caviar spread, tzatziki, olives, grilled pita: This was a simple dish but good as well. Everything except the pita is served cold BTW. B+ -Duck meatballs with sriracha mayo sauce: Good but pretty dry. Could use more sauce. B- -Mediterranean Lamb Shank: Large portion! Served over couscous. B+ -Duck breast special, served over vegetable mash: Didn 't try it but heard the duck was good. The vegetable mash was odd. Imagine taking leftover cooked vegetables and smashing everything together into a lump. N/A -Boeuf Bourguignon, served with mushrooms and over mashed potatoes: This was a perfectly fine beef stew but it 's definitely NOT a Boeuf Bourguignon. I could not taste the red wine at all in this dish! The other person who ordered this dish too agreed with my assessment. B- -Bottle of Cote de Rhone red wine: I wasn 't impressed. It was fairly mediocre. C Overall the octopus and Mediterannean tapas were the best dishes of the night. The entrees left a lot to be desired. They were all very one note/bland. Stick with the appetizers. Sadly another meh restaurant in the Theater District. I don 't plan on coming back."
