"Lovely afternoon spent having drinks at Waves. We were pleasantly surprised to find the owner was English as the bar looked Portuguese and certainly didn't have that awful 'Brits abroad' feel that is all so common. Beautiful view, great selection, very reasonable prices and great conversation from Mary. Thoroughly recommend."

"I don't normally write reviews, in fact this is my first but I must go out of my way to recommend this place. The food is amazing but what stood out for us was the waiter (I didn't get his name, but he was was fantastic to our kids and entertained them the whole evening. Our boys kept wanting to go back there and it was all because of him. He really added to the experience, and yes, the food was also amazing."

"We found Baia Toscana after the tourist season. It seemed to be one of the few places that were open to non-tourist hours, and now I know why. The food is top shelf wonderful. This is a favorite of the locals of SMP. No, it has no sea view. You really need to look for it. it is the cave (bottom floor) under a fantastic pastry and coffee shop! Yeah, the same cook. This guy is a force of nature. We had a massive seafood cellar of HUGE Prawns, muscles, shrimps, cod, potatoes and more. A bottle of wine. 2 deserts and the bill, with a healthy tip for our great server was less than 60 euros for 2. Perfecrtly prepared and amazing aromas. Not too oily and everything was fresh as possible. The cherry tomatoes I rarely have were also very tasteful and fresh. Next summer we will live in Sao Martinho do Porto. we look forward to being a local in our favorite place. UPDATE: We went back to lunch and the bacalhau da nata is a bowl full of heaven."
