"Higher expectations brings more disappointments... yes, the chicken is quite tender and taste good. But the rice really not up to standard. Apple tofu is a must try. With Thai style sweet and sour sauce, the shredded green apples. Super appetising!!"

"A warm bowl of Bak Kut Teh, a sweet bowl of soya bean curb and a nice service staff to warm my cold day. I toppled my soya bean curb by accident and had to trouble this lady to clean up the mess. I thought that was it and to my surprise, she came back with new bowl without me requesting for it! During my course of meal, she was attentive enough that she served us an empty bowl thinking that we will share our rice (which we did). All these were done with a smile. I am very appreciative and thankful to her for an above my expectation service. Thank you!"

"I went after some of my friends recommended this place to know what I am for traditional desserts like this. Like her words, this place has grass jelly, which is slightly over nine fresh and black ball, ie my previous favorites regarding how smooth and fresh they are. What amazed me were the eggs that felt like handmade, with the just level of chewiness. I got the Matcha balls and was quite satisfied with the tea fragrance without overwhelming. At the same time, they serve unique toppings such as osmanthus jelly, which adds a floral note that somehow still fits well with the other ingredients. For someone who doesn't like to add cream to my deserts, I actually loved the delicious mix of unsweetened, non-existent soy cream and the rest of the ingredients. It reminded me of a delicious bowl of crumb milk tea actually!!"

"How shall I describe this? This place lacks ambition. The shopkeeper barely looked up when you walked in. In fact, this place reminded me of those Wulin Assassin tucked in a most unexpected corner of the world. The uncompetitiveness was obvious from their fit out and the homely plates that housed their food, easily decades (or centuries) ago depending on your imagination. But you were unable to stop after your first bite. You were going to devour whatever you've ordered in less than 5 minutes, no matter how much you've ordered. It happened to me. It was as if i went into a trance or a most blissful dream that nothing could go wrong (no ill taste, no drama). Even a slice of tomato was heavenly. Imagine that! I tested my theory by scooping up as many slices of coconut meat from the coconut in front of me with the thinnest stainless steel spoon possible. Nope. I didn't mis-scoop a single slice! Remember how you always slipped or scooped too hard that your coconut dropped in reality? It didn't happen. This place WAS a dream."
