"Both menus are very good value if you don 't want to eat à la carte . The slightly more expensive one had a starter of freshly caught local river fish fried in garlic delicious. The steak was beautifully cooked. Good service in a simple environment."

"We were two couples hoping to stay in Sarlat for a night. We came in on a Friday, not realizing that Saturday was their busy market day. Not a bed to be found, so we backtracked slightly and found the Hotel Du Pont in Grolekac. What a lucky find! Rooms were simple and clean. The host and his wife could not have been nicer! We ended up staying four nights and had supper there twice. The food was great and we had a simple breakfast every day. Our friend sampled the smelts that our host had caught in the nearby river and declared them excellent. There is a shaded, quiet deck at the back of the building, perfect for enjoying your glass of wine and then a tasty meal. Highly recommend!"
