"This is a beautiful little pastelaria in the middle of meda with very friendly staff with an understanding of English. the coffee is excellent, but there is a large collection of cake and bread for those who need a snack. it does not do full meal. but we bought our bread and bread from there. their traditional pastell de nata (Ckustard-Tarts) are excellent!"

"Everyone in the group had different dishes with typical Portuguese food and everyone of them were good. The staff are the owners and so the service is really thoughtful and kind. The next day when were walking by, they offered us a glass of the most amazing ginginha I have ever tasted. It was really nice and memorable."

"The service was excellent. The charming maitre'd/waitress called the chef to translate the menu for us. He voluntarily went through the whole thing in a very pleasant unhurried manner - so unusual! Lovely interior, comfortable, small fire in open fireplace set into the wall. Small bowl of barley soup delicious. Could not find any plain fresh potato dish on the menu- if you're a fan of polenta this is the place for you. Prompt friendly service. Wines and food pricey. Smallish portions. Tender lamb chunks with an unremarkable sauce/gravy and potato dish, both oversalted (salt can be added at the table but not removed!) Very small but delicious vegetable portions, especially the spinach. If you can put a value on congeniality and hospitality, it's 5+; strictly value for money on what we were served 3."
