"Came today for my Husband's birthday with our 2 children. Unfortunately it wasn't a great experience. Firstly, no children's menu, only smaller portions of the main menu but no chicken roast for them either. Secondly, the restaurant was uncomfortably cold which I advised our waitress about. Not great with two small children. Thirdly, the gravy on the roasts tasted like hoisin sauce and other diners agreed! It was horribly sweet and ruined the dinner. Advised the waitress and she asked the chef who confirmed he had used too much sugar! You would think he would have discarded and remade it rather than serve it to paying customers knowing it was horrible! Lastly, our table was booked for 1pm; we didn't leave until 3:40pm! 2 hours and 40 minutes for 4 roasts and 3 desserts! We were informed when we arrived that they had an electrical issue this morning and were playing catch up, however, with only one other table of people in the restaurant, 2 hours and 40 minutes wasn't acceptable. Despite all of the above, we were not offered any discount off our bill. Over £100 for a very poor experience especially given it was my husband's birthday! Sorry, won't be returning"

"Coffee is always good but the Scandi has now gone with the change in menu which has lost its scandi touch and smacks of cost saving. This makes the experience no different to Nero’s or Costa. But at double the price it’s no longer worth it. An example being you are now being charged for a tuna and chilli cheese sandwich as you were for salmon We used to put up with the slow and erratic service. I would use for a takeaway coffee but no more"

"I believe its called Radish Restaurant now, after being extended and new furniture being installed. The environment is really nice, the food very good and staff friendly and attentive. The breakfast is unique in my experience as you choose individual items off the menu. The chef will do soft poached eggs ,crispy bacon if asked, and I love the sourdough toast.My wife and I are still exploring the lunch menu, and it 's been excellent so far. As a bonus the coffee is good as well.On a nice day sit outside on the terrace or otherwise try one of the very comfortable sofa 's (if available) inside. It 's a lovely place and I 'm really pleased to endorse it."

"Not been here before, the place was empty when we entered for Sunday lunch, which was good as it facilitated social distancing. The menu had 4/5 choices for starters and for mains. I went for cauli/stilton soup and roast beef. The soup was strongly flavoured and hot, while the beef was carved from a proper joint of meat. While I didn't have a pudding my family reported their puddings where all very tasty. It's not a cheap lunch but it's good quality. Lewis provided great service, but it did get slow as the restaurant filled up."

"Terrible experience. Tables not cleared so sat looking at dirty plates for ages, the menu is small but most of it wasn't available. No vegan options at all, staff had to ask about every thing, they don't know their products and didn't seem interested at all. When I asked if they could make me a salad sandwich I wasn't expecting literally just a roll and a couple of lettuce leaves I know from the salad on the next table, that they have more in the kitchen. Food took an age to arrive and was wrong when it finally did (they had made toasties on wholemeal rather than white despite us clearly asking for white). Although we were sat at the far end of the cafe, it was cold for my elderly parents as the door was open most of the time. Won't be going back"

"This is my local village pub and after stopping off on our way home group of 5 and giving feedback for three of the group that the Abbots Ale was sub standard, and then enquiring about the extra charge for replacement drinks, were told in no uncertain terms that our custom was not welcome again!!! Mate, your're the ring in not a publicans bootlace!! Seriously does this landlord know how to spell customer serivice??? Good luck won't be getting my custom or any of my friends/acquaintances again. Let's see how long you stay in busi ess???"

"Stopped off for a coffee with grandaughter! Great friendly service and really fresh and clean interior. Opted for coffee toast and jam, grandaughter went for beans on toast and milk shake. Coffee was excellent, as was the thick toast and jam. Milkshake was awesome. Every meal that I saw came out looked very tempting. Recommended!"
