"We went for a family day to St Cergue during the beautiful autumn weather we are having currently. The leaves are changing to brown and the views were sublime. We needed a family friendly restaurant to have lunch, nothing special and the Restaurant du Jura...in the centre of town looked like it would fit the bill. We should have read the warning signs on the boards outside and taken the hint from the waiter's exhausted attitude. From the start we felt like a terrible inconvenience. We were posted into an airless corner and given our menus and then studiously ignored for 30 mins. The food was eyewateringly expensive and we needed to argue to get a carafe of water alongside some other drinks. We were the last to be served in the room, after 3 groups of 4 who arrived after us, despite us telling the waiter we needed to feed the kids. The food was tossed onto the table after over an hour of waiting and part of the order forgotten...you get the picture. It went all the way like this. Really not a family restaurant and definitely not worth the price or the attitude you have to put up with. Extremely disappointing."

"This place used to be good some 20 years ago, with lots of good food table service. Now one has to queue at the counter to select the meagre pickings. Apple pie which doesn't deserve its name. Honestly, supermarket cafeterias are far better than...this. I suggest you pack a picnic and eat outside, somewhere in the sun."
