"We stopped after docking the boat Me wife had tuna I had a steak. Both were good this restaurant thinks out of the box a little Mine came with Brussels sprouts done very uniquely. I quite enjoyed it. Very good place for meal or drinks"

"We heard great things about the place and were optimistic, but we couldn't see all the fuss. Setting was pleasant on the golf course. All the food was just ok. My ham sandwich had much too much butter on the bread -kind of ruined it for me...Grandpa had seafood chowder -he liked the flavour, but felt it was thin, lacking in seafood bits. My daughter liked the grilled cheese sandwich, made on their in-house baked bread.The service was fast and courteous, but the drinking water tasted like it came out of an old fish tank. We were told that it was lake water and that is the norm. Do yourself a favour and order bottled water right off the hop."

"If I could only have one meal on Salt Spring Island, I would have it here. They offer all 3 meals during the day. The menu was nicely varied, and the surprise for us was the kale slaw, so don't overlook the sides. Alcohol is not served at the tables setup outside, so at busy times, you may need to wait. However, adjacent shops prevent boredom. This was the only restaurant of the 4 we tried where we had a second meal, our last one before we caught the ferry to begin our trip home. Note: if you are tall, be careful not to hit your head on the tree in the center of the cozy dining room!"

"Ok hi, i don't want to go on a rant but i have to rave about the date squares. The are perfection, small but only $1.50 each. Aslo had the home made ice cream bar with home made cookies sandwich, i mean the ice cream sandwich actually, everything made from scratch there. Highly recommend. Forgot to get pics, next time however."

"Having had a wonderful late lunch at a local eatery we walked over to Embe Bakery to get a sweet treat to finish off the meal. Service was fine and the baked goods looked yummy. We bought a strudel and a chocolate covered peanut butter cooked and walked back to the car so we could drive to our place. Along the drive we decided to try the cookie. The chocolate was good but the cookie part was a little mushy, more than moist. A disappointment for sure. Then we tried the strudel. Unfortunately we were not able to finish it. It appeared to be under cooked and had cake inside it. I was not expecting apple strudel cake, and again , a wee bit mushy. This bakery has been here forever so it must be doing something right. Perhaps we were unlucky, but I will look elsewhere next time."

"OH WOW. This funky little cafe is definitely worth the search. Although we had seen the sign from the road, as we were driving to the Salt Spring Cheese Farm, we later met a local who told us we have not seen Saltspring until we have visited Kizmit. We decided to return to the area the next day. I felt like I was back in the 60's and I loved it. There were so many quirky aspects to the place, which only added to the charm. There is a little shop attached to the cafe as well, with some re-sale items. The Nicaraguan free trade coffee is delicious, with baking to match. Tables and chairs are scattered on different levels in the garden so that it does not feel crowded. I could have sat outside all afternoon, it was so relaxing. There are some tables inside as well. A huge bonus to this wonderful gem is the on-site Mediterranean food truck, Hamsa. Such apropos karma! It is clearly a very popular addition for lunch and the Middle Eastern food looked delicious and interesting. I wholeheartedly agree that you have not seen Saltpring Island until you have visited Kizmit."

"We had a good experience. dill seafood alfredo was great. pesto pasta was great, but extra parmesan needed. when I added that, it was excellent. the French wobbly soup was average. all in all, I would recommend this point. they make a mean negroni!"
