What User likes about Salt Spring Island Mercantile:
I had to wait for ferry so after hearing a customer being shouted out of a nearby cafe, I came into this place for a coffee and snack. I was welcomed with a smile and directed to their hot food counter. I bought a pizza slice and dark coffee and a fresh baked cookie, (it was big, too). this is a really great little load! they offer many local products. I bought hot sauces made locally. I also wanted to have lunch, something I could take a picnic. they were really busy and didn't have much left in their sandwich. fall that I grabbed a bagel sandwich with smoked salmon. it was good. it was a classic cream cheese, they had some baked, which looked really delicious, but I didn't try. the service in reg... this load is full of surprises. many locally made objects from soap to alcohol. we're gone a few times. the prices are also fair.
The Mercantile was awesome from the day it opened and just gets better with every visit! Helpful friendly service and great local products for the south islande...
