"Quite a fancy restaurant, I think my husband and I were clearly underdressed and we got odd looks when wearing our masks upon entering. Our waitress was super nice. She struggled a bit in French but we were already impressed by her speaking three languages and having to describe elaborate dishes. Bravo to her! We took the 5 course menu and were completely stunned by all the courses they brought out (we thought they mistakenly gave us the 7 course menu instead! . In total, we counted, there were 10 courses for our 5 course menu. This was due to all the pre courses. For every course, there was a pre-course. It was very copieus! We would have gotten the 3 course if we knew it was this much food so be aware if you aren 't ready to eat that much! The food was delicious and very well presented. Only a few criticisms: there were quite a lot of repeat flavors (goat cheese, beets, herbs . I understand seasonal cooking but I did feel like it was a bit repetitive. Other critic was on the service. Sometimes the runner would serve the food but didn 't explain anything. It may have been a language issue but would have been nice to have the explanation each time since the dishes were so original (there were 3 dishes that we didn 't get an explanation . I think the waitress must have been too busy. And lastly, some dishes came very fast, even too fast, whilst we waited quite a long time for the main and dessert. The timings were a little off provided the type of restaurant. In all, it was a nice fancy dinner for our anniversary but not very Swiss, quite contemporary made from local products. It was worth the price for everything we got and clearly the attention put into creating the dishes."

"Biggest problem is the space - not enough table for all the guests.The staff tries its best but there are always things missing (egg, plates, cups, spoon, etc)The food itself is ok - typical Swiss - no surprise (whether good nor bad ones)"

"Wir waren an einem verregneten Abend im Bären und haben uns für ein Käsefondue mit Steinpilzen und ein Fleischfondue Chinoise entschieden. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, der Service freundlich, kompetent und sehr aufmerksam.Wir wurden mindestens 5 Mal gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Auch die Weinempfehlung mit einem infiltrierten Pinot Noir aus dem Wallis hat perfekt gepasst.Auch wenn die Einheimischen unter den vielen Asiaten in Unterzahl sind, tut dies der Atmosphäre in diesem rustikalen Restaurant keinen Abbruch! Wir können den Bären ohne Einschränkung empfehlen."

"Right beside the river, parking outside and in the beautiful area of Unterseen. Get here for the amazing bread and especially on a Sunday it's a special one. Have a latte macchiato and some cake. They also make a brilliant tuna sandwich! We love this place."

"What a fabulous hotel. If you are looking for a quintessential Swiss restaurant then you would find better. The building is wonderful. The food is amazing the staff are all lovely. We only booked for one night, however after the meal we booked for the 2nd night we were there as it was so good. Book there… you won’t be disappointed!!"

"Camping on a beautiful place with a fantastic view of some snow-covered mountains. too foot to the beautiful center of interlaken takes about 20min, but they get a card, so they can get free with bus, the stops super close to the camping site. also they get discounted on many things they can do around. the parking space is super large and the staff is friendly only what I didn't like is that they have to pay for a warm shower."
