"The mask ?memo? came out recently and we went for lunch. The staff at the el Camino site is usually not as friendly as possible, but today they were extremely rude. I explained I am pregnant for 8 months and find it difficult to breathe with a mask and they refused to serve. Then they told me to order and wait outside. So for 1 minute while preparing my meal, I have to wait outside. People sat without masks just a few meters away. Extremely rude, unhappy service. We will not return."

"A really excellent find. Superb atmosphere, fantastic, original and creative craft cocktails and delicious food. We ordered a number of the veggi dishes and they were happy to make them vegan. The flavors were great. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate. The owner/manager made a point of chatting with us and was very friendly. Our server was obviously in training and did a great job. She was attentive and friendly. A new favorite!!"

"My son loved his kids meal and the biscuits al la carte.....his roasted corn on the cob was delicious! I ordered the bbq haven only to discover the dry rub was overly salty I'm sire they add herbs and spices, but, all I could taste was salt on the ribs and brisket..the pulled pork was okay so long as I didn't get a crust piece unfortunately I ended up throwing away most of my meal. I also tried the street corn and beans...beans were perfectly seasoned and warm. The street corn however had the texture of corn that was cooked and left out over night and bland...tasted like stale chili powder and cheese. I want to say it's a great deal for authentically smoked meats but it was either too salty or bland and stale."

"This place is GREAT!! I was visiting family in Carlsbad and had dinner here. The brisket was amazing and our server, Mariah was fantastic! She has such a great sense of humor and didn't miss a thing! I will definitely be returning when I'm back in Carlsbad.Food: 4/5"
