"I find this place to be bland, just like many other restaurants over priced price food for large meals. I'd much rather they reduce their price per meal as well as the portion size to help control obesity in this country. I know what you're going to say, just don't eat all of it well if I pay for the meal and I don't like it's not going to get eaten. If I end up liking it, yes I can always take it home. I ordered the cheese fries with brisket (additional cost), had a couple bites out of the cheese fries thought they were greasy could have been the cheese or the deep fried oil from the fries but they were decent. I added the brisket which was good and they did have a jalapeno ranch dressing to spice it up. I tried something off the menu called the tamale cakes it was the lunch special with chicken. It's basically just sweet corn pancakes with chicken tenders on top with Valentino sauce to the side of them, I was not impressed, I envisioned some type of Mexican fusion with Southwest twist hence the name tamala cakes it was their attempt on chicken and waffles but I did not like it. I get what people like this place it's nice environment, staff is friendly the decor is nice but I may be back maybe once or twice to try something else from the outdoor menu to see if that will change my mind. Forgot to mention that they do have live bands in the evenings I forget which day it is, if it's daily or certain nights, and appetizer specials."

"We've been meaning to try Egg House Cafe ever since it opened a few months ago. We finally had our chance on Father's Day. There was a bit of a wait for seating and apologies that our food was taking so long, perfectly understandable that day. But everything was delicious and worth the wait. I had the French Crepes with lots of yummy berries with a side of thick, perfectly cooked and tasty bacon. I can't remember what hubs had because I was too focused on my own plate , but I do remember him saying it was very good and he'd come back again high praise indeed! They kept my coffee and our waters filled. Great service at the table. They need dedicated staff to seat people and run the register. Someone was doing triple duty that day and the counter was often unattended with lines in and out clogging the entrance. Perhaps a better set up to keep the traffic jam down. Just a few years ago, Denton had only a couple of so so breakfast places. Now there's one on nearly every corner, and most are very good. Egg House Cafe is high on our favorites list. We will definitely be back many times!"

"We often miss living in Denton solely because of the truly awesome small, locally-owned shops and restaurants. Pepitas is one of those businesses and they are absolutely phenomenal. We got the Piccadillo taco plate and Beyond Meat nachos. It was some of the best Mexican food we've ever tried. We love the curbside service, fair pricing, and excellent customer service! Keep up the amazing job, Pepitas!"

"There were several reviews that talked about poor customer service but we experienced exactly the opposite! The hostess was very polite and our waitress was great! She was not hesitant to provide her own suggestions regarding food options which worked out perfectly. My two children split a two meat plate and it worked out great for them!"
