"We were staying upstairs and decided to give the cafe and cellar bar a try. Loved the cellar bar! Amazing! The cafe was lovely but we were a little disappointed at the breakfast menu, all we fancied was a bacon or sausage sandwich. We were surprised there was no typical fried breakfast items on the menu. Overall very nice, we had the Welsh rarebit which was lovely but lacked any salad or garnish on the side. It wouldn’t put us off coming again but maybe not for breakfast."

"We popped in on a busy night, no booking but luckily they found us table. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, freshly cooked with generous portions. I had the salmon tagliatelle which was lovely, so tasty. My friend had fish and chips, the fish was huge with lovely crispy batter. Two winning meals. A great place on the sea front. I will definitely return."

"The staff were very friendly and attentive, the breakfast was very tasty and the surroundings of the hotel were very pleasant. The decor inside the hotel however, is very dated and could do with modernising. The mattress on my bed was so soft that it offered no support and was very uncomfortable (The three family members who were also staying in the hotel, also felt the same way with their mattresses). I could feel the springs underneath, so that was quite unpleasant and it didn't make for a comfortable nights sleep. It wasn't an awful stay by any means and this review is based purely on my personal experience."

"Lovely bar, attentive staff. Food was delicious and the lunch menu is great value. Moroccan chicken pitta was very tasty (even if the pitta was way over cooked so that it snapped when you tried to cut it! with great flavours. Chicken tender bbq bun with chips and coleslaw was a big hit with my partner. Both dishes were great value at £8 each. The specials board looked fantastic too. Highly recommended."

"Use the cafe when ever staying nearby. Service very friendly and helpful. Menu good for snacks and lunch. We had tasty sandwiches, but maybe they could offer a choice of salad instead of chips as a side. Don't always want double carbs."

"Went here on Sunday 17th November, me, my wife, daughter and partner (vegans) and a baby. We had 2 vegan roast, and 2 beef brisket. Wonderful meals, freshly prepared and delicious choice of veg. Are we going again, 100yes. In fact it was so good,...we have orderd the vegan roast for Christmas!"
