"On Saturday evening, Indy and I headed down to St James', an area of London we rarely visit, for a three course dinner at Kona, a newly opened restaurant located in the super luxurious Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites and Residences. . You'd be forgiven for assuming that Kona would be in keeping with the opulent design of Taj 51; however, the restaurant is surprisingly modern. Neutral tones give the dining room a light and airy feel, with a variety of paintings hanging on the walls and elegant furnishings providing a sophisticated finish. Tucked away at the back of the restaurant you'll find The Library a warm and inviting space with plush sofas and armchairs; the perfect place to enjoy a night cap after you've indulged on some fine cuisine. Soft lighting helps to create an informal and relaxed ambience; the perfect setting for a romantic evening out."

"A lot of health theatre in tossed. on the face of him sees eating is served well for them, but if they are the number of calories that are consumed, it is crazy. even the calorie I consumed eating a middle pot...and drinking were close to those I would have consumed by any well-known burger or huhn almost food restaurant. the problem is industrialized cooking can never be healthy at this price point which also costly. £8 for lunch is crazy. they prefer to go to a place that makes everything from ground while they wait. I like to see what I eat and how it is cooked. I will not go back"

"Visited Wok to Walk a few nights ago during the tube strikes when I was stranded on Oxford St with a dead mobile phone and no bus showing up for over two hours. Wok to Walk was the only place still open at this time and I asked if there was any chance I could put my phone on charge to book an Uber and get home safely. I was really upset at the time and the staff really took me under the wing and looked after me to make sure I was ok. Couldn't recommend enough, top boys!"

"Loch Fyne specializes in seafood dishes, so it's a bit fishy if you go there and only plan on having a burger. It's a relatively upscale restaurant as well, or at least you'd imagine so with the marked up prices and somewhat sleepy-dead atmosphere. It's a good place to go to though for a relaxing meal or pleasant family dinner. We ordered from the set menu, with crab cakes to start. The coriander and sweet chilli had a nice tangy flavour but I was a bit disappointed at how small the three balls of crab cake were. For a main I had the king prawn squid spaghetti. "After a delightful afternoon watching Operation Mincemeat I was escorted around the corner for my second surprise of the day ..... dinner at Barrafina .... and what a wonderful way to round off a great day it was ! Great service, great choice of tapas. We all indulged, as we should, and from the Gambas, the Skate Wing, the Tortilla and through to the Milhojas every dish presented to us was a taste sensation. The Staff were wonderful, engaging and humerous ....... really didn 't want to leave. So, thank you all for a fabulous evening, hope to return soon ."

"This was the second Pizza Express that we ate at as a bus tour was ending. This is off James Street which is off Oxford Street for any who are interested. Lots of restaurants on James Street. We found the pizza good and the beer cold. Could not ask for more. This is near the (Thistle) Amba Hotel Marble Arch for those interested."
