"I went out of my way to visit this restaurant whilst travelling alone around Canada. It was very busy and I was invited to sit at the bar area, which was fine. The guy taking my order was great and made a few recommendations. The food was excellent - if I had to pick a complaint possibly a bit too much sauce. However, I felt once I'd finished they just wanted rid of me, my plate was snatched away as I took my last mouthful and the bill presented. I would have liked a coffee. They then stood two people directly behind me and told them I was leaving despite the fact I still had a drink left. So all in all, lovely food but service could improve."

"The Red Apron's gourmet dishes are great when you need a break from cooking. You can pick up fresh or frozen prepared dishes like pull pork with mac and cheese, tandoori chicken, or chickpea curry. Their pies are outstanding. They also do a terrific lunch--soup...and inventive sandwiches--which you can eat on site."

"I have struggled to find really good sushi in Ottawa but I think I finally found it. It wasn't the cheapest, but the quality in fish was exceptional. I ordered the chef special and it was the first time I've ever enjoyed octopus or surf clam. I'm typically not a big fan of shrimp but that was also delicious. I was impressed with the portions and the garnish that accompanied the nigiri pieces. The place was clean, but small, which was really nice. Fantastic sushi chef!"

"Eat here!. My girlfriend and I moved into the neighbourhood about a year ago and we were excited about a sushi bar being within walking distance. After our first meal there we fell in love. The food is awesome and the service is always fantastic. <br/ <br/ We order from take out a couple times a month and we've never been let down. <br/ <br/ As far as cooked/canned fish in the rolls, I don't really know what other reviewers mean. I've had nothing but fresh fish when we've ordered from here. <br/ <br/ The portions are huge and the chefs are crazy fast. Also the non-sushi items on the menu rock. I love their bulgogi. I often grab some on my way home from work<br/ <br/ I've worked in restaurants for many years, including a sushi bar, and I'd definitely recommend this place to friends/family/anyone who will listen"

"All the Ottawa lists recommend this shawarma restaurant and it did not disappoint! The staff there were so friendly and kind. The gentleman fulfilling my order was the cutest! We got the mixed meat platter; and it filled my husband and I. The portions are worth it. Meat was excellent (beef and chicken). I got the brown rice because I am gluten free and it was flavourful. I love the salad at shawarma places, the pickled beets are my favourite. The hummus and garlic sauce was great. The hummus really exceeded my expectations, super smooth. The garlic sauce, I can never get enough of that stuff. Highly recommend."

"Good. The staff is very nice and the food is good. The only issue is you have to know which items on the menu to avoid, like the bizarre cold pureed avocado dish yuck. The spicing is very bland on regular menu items, chili with no spice or heat!! The red lentil soup is great and the daily special is usually more interesting then the regular menu items. The samosas and pakoras are delicious as are all the dessert items. Great little spot, you just need to know what to get."
