"Spotted this place as heading South on A427 after giving the very crowded market-day Machynlleth a miss. Very pleased we did. Great coffee and real tea. It was busy but lunch was served up very promptly by friendly staff. I had the days special which was a generous Frittata. After lunch went for a walk through the village, then returned later, after the crowd had gone, and had a desert of tea and scones. Would certainly stop here again."

"Originally founded as a private club for the universität aberystwyth, this restaurant/pub is now open to the public. I have been here since the opening of the site and was a postdoc at the university. my wife and I returned this and organized an evening meal for friends in one of the private rooms. The appetizers include Pan-seared makrele, a forest orff salad (welsh style,) and warm lamb salad. the main thing offered blackberry infused duck, roasted salmon fillet, and a sweet potato tortilla. desserts included a red berry and gin cheesecake, a citron tart and a warm chocolate wing. all were excellent and well preserved. good wine list and beer design. good and friendly service."

"Ludicrous price for a baguette £5.90) with hardly any filling. 5 tiny pieces of chicken and a slither of coleslaw. They used to fill the baguettes to the brim but now you are left still hungry. Very disappointing!"

"Spartacus is a really great brand in Aberystwyth and both little shops are wonderful. One of them does have seating (I believe it is this one) although seating is minimal so you are usually best to get a takeaway. They have a wide range of...fillings for your sandwiches, which aren't just sandwiches you can have as baguettes, panini's and so on, so there will aways be something that is right for you and your family! There is also a salad bar and at the Spartacus by Crimson Rhino/Little Spar they have pizzas as well. They also have a good selection of drinks as well as a nice little selection of cakes. I especially recommend their chocolate brownie for a sweet treat. The one by the train station (believe it this one can often seem very busy so staff can be under a lot of pressure but certainly the one near to Crimson Rhino/Little Spar, are a lot more enthusiastic (though no seating there) and were very generous in giving my toddler a little piece of brownie to keep him entertained whilst we waited for the panini's to cook. Definitely would recommend."
