"We were warmly welcomed and shown to a table with a comfortable sofa and chairs. A lovely coal fire added to the relaxed and peaceful setting. The afternoon tea was delicious, a balanced combination of savoury and sweet items. Lovely light scones with clotted cream! We were looked after very well and look forward to returning very soon"

"This was my 2nd visit to the bistro, the food is amazing, service is excellent, nothing is to much trouble for these guys. The decor is stunning very art deco, if your looking for quality food surroundings that won't break the bank then I would recommend giving the majestic a try, you won't be disappointed"

"Been here a few times now while passing at work. Every time the food has been amazing and u always get plenty. staff are very friendly and very helpful and of course the main thing the food is delicious and portions are really good sizes. If u go try a protein drink aswell you’ll not regret it"

"If we had eaten a family tonight, we agreed that it was the best we had in darlington. we all ordered different meal times each individual was perfect. the waiting employees were nice, we couldn't blame anything and we are very special! we will definitely be back when we visit, will they expand in Scotland?"

"Popped in for a coffee, nice ambience, comfortable. However on going to the toilet the waitress asked very rudely “ have you just come in off the street?” To which I pointed to where I was sitting. No apology received. On this basis, the customer service of this individual was severely lacking."
