"I can’t fault the food or the price at this restaurant. We did enjoy and the setting was beautiful the hall itself is really impressive. Only feedback : I feel like they’ve missed a trick! When we told a local we were going there it raised an eyebrow they considered it very highly and on arrival, I understood why. But on seeing the menu, I couldn’t help but be a little disappointed. For such prestigious surroundings and a grand entrance, I was surprised the menu consisted of burger, curry and fish and chips. I was expecting fine dining and locally sourced ingredients to match the high level of service and location. I would happily have paid more than the £14 main course price tag for something a little more special. As I said, the food was good just a little underwhelming as it had the feeling of being bought in pre made (example the pâté . I would recommend the chicken pie but not the brownie it wasn’t really a brownie and needed ice cream or cream with it."
