"A super lovely old building that’s god bags of character and charm that feels natural and welcoming. It was a please to stay here and I’d totally come back. The gardens feel very magical and were quite quiet, despite the large road very close by. Good selection of really wholesome and tasty vegetarian and vegan food, they also use a lot of home grown produce and have a decent selection on tap and spirit. Only negative feed back is the noise transference between rooms, if I went back I’d need to stay in a top floor room to avoid hearing people stomp around upstairs. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 4"

"Booked a table for 7, we had a nice lady that gave us great table service, she looked after us very well. Our drinks were topped up and delivery was quick. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was good. We will definitely be returning."

"We arrived at Smallwood Lodge unannounced having not booked a table. The staff there couldn 't have been more helpful and accommodating. Lunch was amazing. If you go there, your tea will be made fresh and served the old way with tea leaves for you to strain so much tastier. Everything happens in good time and is super fresh so don 't expect 'fast food '. We will definitely return there. If I had to made a suggestion for Smallwood Lodge, it would be to make the entrance more prominent and advertise to people what gem lies within. The little menu box there is easily missed."

"Cheryl made our wedding cake last year. We had cup cakes and a top tier cake. They were the lightest sponge to can ever imagine. She has also made a couple of birthday cakes for children. Cheryl has a fine eye for detail and listens to what you want"

"We've had takeout a couple of times, yesterday was our first dine in meal. Food was great. Service was on point. All the food was fresh and hearty portions. I got the meowgi tacos which were great, nicely balanced smoke, heat Buffalo tang. Definitely would have again. My husband order the Cuban pork special. The meat was juicy delicious. We didn't have room for dessert but they looked so good we brought them home. Both cakes were fantastic. I had the banana toffee and sampled my husband's chocolate funfetti cheesecake. Definitely recommend."
