"Having seen the reviews, thought we would try this cafe. What a disappointment. The board stated sandwiches, jacket potatoes and salads. My husband ordered a salad, only to be told they no longer did salads, but were not able to change the board for some reason. 3 choices of jacket potato. Very wobbly table, Hot chocolate cold and had to be asked to be re heated. Sandwiches all pre boxed and uninspiring. Noisy fridge next to our table. The room was lovely, but there was no atmosphere and al ack lustre welcome. Will not be going back and certainly would not visit the Barge restaurant that is affiliated with thiscafe."

"This place has amazing eating. the service was on point, even kindly suggested, my 4 year old children eating with the start (we clearly forget). I had read the reviews before I left here and thank lynn boulding for pictures and menu titles. the best of the best"

"My husband and I were driving through the village of Yalding in Kent, where we stumbled upon the most beautiful tearoom tucked in alongside the picturesque houses in this quaint village. The tearoom has just been taken over and re vamped by Amy who is a mummy to two young boys. She could not do enough for us, describing the many cakes she had to offer. We liked the look of so many of them and went for three between us in the end. Greedy but it had to be done. The chocolate Malteser refrigerator cake was to die for!! Amy served us with two delicious coffees to have with our cakes. Our visit was so good we are already planning our next visit trust me it has to be done!!!!"

"Very slow service, and the 3 waiters present on the day seemed all very young and quiet and inexperienced. that let the overall experience down. disappointed that upon giving us the bill the waitress immediately gave us the card machine and asked how we were paying. as we were a group of 2 couples we were hoping to split the bill and wanted time to work this out and also check the bill was correct, this waitress gave us no time and it felt as though she hadn't even considered that we may have wanted to read over the bill first of all before being rushed to pay. food was very good though."

"Came here for my 2 year anniversary and was amazed. Everything from the decorations to the staff to the food was perfect. Lovley atmosphere in a really clean, beautiful restaurant. Definitely go here again. 2 people had starter, main and dessert and it came to £50 including the 12.5% tip. Worth every penny!"
