"We had the best dinner here at 1888 Chop House. It was our last day in Banff and we treated ourselves. The restaurant is very cozy and modern inside. All decor was beautiful! Our server greeted us with a choice to start with champagne and introduced us to the menu. Our server, Nicholas was so helpful and excited to show us everything they had to offer. We ended up ordering the bread and butter which of course was amazing, then we shared the pork and scallops appetizer. Lastly for our main we got the 14oz NY Strip which we split and added the Quebec blue cheese on top which I highly would recommend. We had the ice cream sundae and some amazing esprit martinis to end and it was just an amazing experience!! They even gave us a gift at the end because of our engagement earlier in the trip canât wait to come back!"

"What a disappointment. tonight for a special evening and ended without eating. we both ordered the Sirloin steak. I ordered my medium rare and my man ordered his medium. after 30 minutes our dinners arrived. both steaks were completely uncooked (almost close.) we informed our server, who both apologised and returned to the kitchen. minutes later she returned and again the steaks were almost the same as before. at this point we gave up the manager and informed that we were going. for a highly rated steakhouse missed this experience the brand."
