"Thanks Brandon. The whole experience was on the verge of disaster until this guy took the time to acknowledge me. They definitely earned a repeat patron. This is going to be a negative 5 star review. Didn’t have the heart to ‘Neg em after speaking with Brandon. I’m going to keep it constructive. When no one is responsible, no one can be held accountable. I say this because “waiting” the tables is a group effort here. This allows some of the staff to coast leaving the “try hards” to pull the cart. To gain refills or service, you need to “flag” down someone in a Karl Strauss Shirt. I’ve never had so many people duck my eye contact outside of middle school dances. Eventually the “Try Hards” will burn out and find a more rewarding experience else where leaving the loafers destroying the service in their wake. Tipping before you ever experience the service of the staff is absurd, I tipped 20% because well it’s customary and I realize it’s important. Outside of Brandon, I would have lowered that significantly due to the level of service we received varied DRASTICALLY from person to person. Brandon? 30% the random dudes who ducked every single eye contact even going as far as to completely ignore me as I talked directly at them while they walked by probably busy. No idea. We had to create several orders which is inconvenient but overlook able. Every server that took the time was fantastic, the several members of the team who would rather loafer around chatting could be unscheduled tomorrow and I promise not a single patron would know the difference only the person pressing go on the ADP “Run Payroll” Button. Either way food was fantastic, service once I was aware of the situation was manageable. You definitely have to “pick one” and let the loafers coast through their shifts) Excellent food and drink highly recommend. Also should be noted if your here with your buddies I don’t believe you will experience this as each buddy will have their own ordering experience and beverage delivered promptly. What runs astray is treating this place like your traditional restaurant. Peace"

"From here to visit a friend since I was close. Beautiful spacious location with exterior and interior. Parking next to the building and another area above the road to the west. Very friendly staff and manager. Eating very fresh and well prepared I had the classic burger."

"Last night in the parks and we walked our tired Disney legs over for a late meal. Wow, was it great! I had the pu pu plater(wings, dumplings, fried green beans and macaroni salad , girlfriend had the Hawaiian platter(short ribs, rice, macaroni salad and cold slaw . Service was great! Food was great! I love that Polynesian BBQ sauce(I think it’s teriyaki based? . Washed mine down with a very rummy drink called the Krakatoa. Highly recommended stop! We did have some confusion over what seats were Tangaroa Terrace and which were Trader Sam’s…just ask the host for a table no matter what and avoid the back and forth."

"Food: 3 star Server: 5 star Hospitality: 1 star Dined at the Carthay Circle Restaurant Lounge. Food was good but nothing special. Small, appetizer like, portions. Front of the house and managers were not too friendly but what saved the experience was our server Mimi who was terrific. Hustling and polite. Food came out timely and was warm (not hot) and fresh. Arrived at 6:15 for a 6:40 reservation and hat to wait until 650 to be seated and there was no line and the restaurant seemed to not be too busy. We were greeted by a less than friendly check in and were later accosted by a manager at 1901 lounge next door for waiting in the wrong area. Additionally for what you get this place is kind of pricey and is really not meant for kids. I don?t recommend and will not be returning. Food: 3 star Server: 5 star (Mimi) Hospitality: 1 star"

"We went to the brunch and that was all really good. the service was also stellar. we celebrated the 73rd birthday of my grandmother and our waitress sue was so pleasant and made our brunch special. I was told that they usually do not make birthday arrangements during the breakfast hours, but sue did it and we are so grateful."

"My wife and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary at the restaurant. I mentioned our anniversary on the reservation site and was pleased to see a nice card and table decor set out for the occasion. Chris was our server for the evening and did an impeccable job ensuring we enjoyed our dinner and experience. Thank you very much for a amazing and memorable experience!"
