"Very neat restaurant with tables on the street in front, inside and a very nice room upstairs. We sat upstairs so we could watch the street activities. We went for breakfast and our food was very good and reasonably priced. Our waitress was very friendly. They have menus in English too is your Spanish is lacking."

"Sal y Pimienta is simplicity itself. Simple, shaded tables set into the sand of the beach. Full bar serving excellent margaritas. The burgers are wildly varied, and all delicious. The shrimp dishes, especially the tacos and the salad, are delicious. Relaxed atmosphere, with wandering vendors...and musicians. HUGE portions! Friendly service, though not always quick. (Note: if you are in a hurry, Zipolite is not a good place for you). I have eaten here many times, and have never been disappointed. No desert. Very busy on Sundays."

"Locals recommend this place on the beach for quality food at friendly prices and I can't argue with that. Large plates of food come with meat/seafood, salad, rice, and french fries. Burgers are large and good. Good guacamole. The fries could be improved on IMO, but it's not a deal-breaker."

"So this place ended up being where we spent most of our time while we were on the beach. The Adirondack chairs were pretty comfy for sitting in all day, the waved weren't super strong here, prices were very reasonable and margaritas were great. Sometimes service could be slow but we weren't in any hurry. We usually only ordered guacamole which was very reasonable and a huge portion. One day we split a burger and fries and that was pretty good, too. On the weekend, it was pretty crowded."
