What User likes about Restaurant Alejandra:
I spent hours sitting at this amazing restaurant and swimming in the ocean. The omelettes are out of this world as well as all the guacamole and the fresh juices. The seating is the best you can get, you can stay here all day and have the greatest food available without having to go anywhere else. It is the perfect place to hang out and relax which is what vacations are all about. You will love the owners as well the... View all feedback.

What User doesn't like about Restaurant Alejandra:
Service was absolutely horrible here. The food was at par to be fair. I have had much better. The mojito was water with lime, mint and sugar. Way too much lime!! Not enough mint. Food was average, nothing to brag about. No napkins!! And the...waiter was lousy. View all feedback.

City: Mazunte (near Arroyo Tres), Callejon El Armadillo 1, Rinconcito, Mazunte, Mexico
"I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. We found it by accident (look closely for the sign or you might miss it! After a very long day, we left El Armadillo feeling refreshed, treated, and nourished. We had the iced golden milk and the hibiscus lemonade while we waited for the lib koosa dip and the golden tajine. Everything was so fresh and perfectly seasoned and cooked. Though absolutely stuffed, we had to try the almond cookies for dessert and they were served still warm and beautifully plated. Heaven! Though I loved the local Mexican food, I really appreciated this fresh, change of cuisine while traveling. Plus the restaurant is slightly uphill and therefore away from the crowded main street. It is peaceful and quiet and has a lovely atmosphere to relax and enjoy your dinner. I would describe the atmosphere as elegant but very comfortable. The staff were friendly, the service warm and attentive. I felt very taken care of. The pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the environment they provide. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our dinner at El Armadillo so much, we went back for breakfast a couple of days later. Just wonderful. I’d give more than 5 stars if possible! Thank you to the team at El Armadillo, I can’t wait to dine with you again and see what future projects you create!"

City: Arroyo Tres, Calle Shambala s/n | Colonia Roca Blanca, Zipolite 90704, Mexico, Arroyo Tres
"The best in town! Javier and Paco run the place with elegance, style and character that give this place a smart and quirky feel, though no high heels here. The food is delicious and varied, the menu is international with a Mexican touch. Cocktails are great, wine selection is limited but fine. The music is perfect for the place, though sometimes street musicians occupy the scene. We went here many times and always had a great night."

City: Salchi (near Arroyo Tres), Manta Raya Hotel, Salchi, Mexico, 70900
"We spent 6 days at this small hotel, located on a nearly empty, beautiful (but rough Oaxaca beach. If you're looking for quiet and 1:1 attention from friendly staff and cooks this is the place. Remember that this is a 3 star hotel located on a pretty quiet coast it's included on several top boutique hotel lists and the NYT, and these lists mostly include hotels that are much fancier. You won't find all the creature comforts found at high end hotels. For instance: the pool, while clean, is losing some tiles; the beach and pool chairs aren't super comfy; our room's AC didn't really cool us down until 3 or 4am; and, the road into the hotel is quite rough for the final 1 2 miles. But in so many ways, Manta Raya delivers! Very, very tasty and affordable food (although the included continental breakfast is a bit light. Incredible dinners while seated outdoors in front of an unreal view. Inexpensive drinks. Good sized rooms; all of them have incredible views. An empty beach with constantly evolving waves, colors, rocks, cliffs, etc (but not good for swimming while we were there. Proximity to other beaches I'd highly recommend renting a car so that you can explore this fantastic coastline. Very friendly and attentive staff (can't say enough how nice our hosts were! This is a place to unwind, to eat fresh food (especially seafood , to base for day trips, to soak up the sun (except during rainy season and listen to the waves."
