"Food was really pretty good! And the server we had during our stay was great. Very hard working and personal, great at her job. We had the shells and they were super good, I usually don't like shells, but the taste that was blended into this was very good. I had a squash noodle dish and loved it. My fiancée had spaghetti and meatballs and liked it very much. Lunch we had a Portobello mushroom burger with Borscht and my fiancé had a burger with a fried egg and fries. It was nice that our server with the add on egg, if not on the menu. Our last night was my birthday and we got fish and chips, salmon and a chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was really good except the fruit on the chocolate dessert. It said apricots, so I was excited about the fresh fruit and it turned out to get and type of hard apricot bits.. I didn't like the taste. Otherwise everything we had was very good!"

"Stopped for dinner on our way through and highly recommend. Service was friendly, servings were very large and everything tasted great! Between our family we had pizza, chicken strips fries, 1/2 order fish chips, 1/2 order greek salad and our youngest has a wheat allergy and they had a great gluten free sausage from their breakfast menu that we ordered with fries for him. They were so accommodating and made great option suggestions for us. Would definitely eat there again."

"This place was basically the only option for an early morning breakfast and it definitely did not disappoint! There were lots of options on the menu and the food tasted delicious. I didn't have very high expectations but everything was fantastic. The staff is super friendly and it's a really nice atmosphere. We sat out on the patio because it was a nice day and there were such pretty flowers right by us on the sidewalk. The coffee was also great! Tasted like a latte and there was even a little latte heart :"

"We have been coming to the Kingfisher for 15 years and it has always been hit or miss. Yesterday was an enormous miss and the last time we will ever eat there. First of all, if your going to be at the front desk of...a resort like this, you had best have a seed of personality and not be a rude jerk like the guy was last night, when someone say hello, you don’t respond with a half smile, use your words like your mom taught you and say hello back. Next, I ordered a 50 dollar beef tenderloin medium rare and got a piece of well done pork, lol. Nice try. And lastly, when you suggest a desert and we order it and then you forget about us for 40 mins while we hear you laughing it up with the staff, trying to make it right by bringing us a microwave melted pile of garbage in a to go container doesn’t cut it. The food was ok at best and the service was equally mediocre. Avoid the Kingfisher and drive to Nakusp for great food and service. It’s too bad this place has gone so downhill."
