"On Tuesday this week I had dinner with 2 friends at your restaurant. I had a friend from the Southern Highland to show him our beautiful City. First of all the young dark headed waitress who showed us to our table was not welcoming at...all. We ordered cocktails from the bar and 3 entrees to share before we ordered our main course. The Entrees arrived and I asked the same girl for side plates and napkins, she delivered them with such an effort that she plonked them at the end of the table. After that she obviously did not want to serve us again so another blond waitress with no attitude served us. After our entrees we went to the bar to order wine and main course. We were told the kitchen was closed as it was 8’oclock. At no time were we told the kitchen closed at that time by the waitress who showed us to our table or the email confirmation we received when we booked. I was very embarrassed for my friend who was from out of town. I have been to your restaurant before and will think twice before returning or recommending it. My friend paid the bill and left a generous tip to the nice waitress and told her about the poor attitude and abruptness from the other Girl."

"Too many hard chairs and stools, and not much room in the beer and wine drinking tables area. It would be hard to settle in for a session here as no cushions means a sore backside. Beer (bitter) was okay but a bit too hoppy for my taste without much other flavour."

"This is a nice place to have a beer overlooking the water, and there are so many different seating areas. The bathrooms were clean and the staff is friendly as well... we would definitely go back and try food the next time."

"Outstanding quality of food..the food is healthy and well cooked, with excellent vegan flavours. They also have a great selection of cakes and pastries. I am a celiac and they have great knowledge of gluten free cooking so a lot of options available. Would recommend."

"Came here on a Saturday night with 3 others for a birthday celebration. We were shown to our pre-booked table and a drinks menu and water was offered immediately followed by the dinner menu. Surprisingly there were no blackboard specials on offer. The menu was not extensive with 4 pasta dishes, 2 fish and a lamb rump and 1 other to pick from as well as a few entrees. Also 4 desserts to choose from. No breads but each diner was given one of their in-house fresh baked bread rolls, which were nice. The 4 of us each had a different pasta, which we all enjoyed very much as this restaurant specialises in fresh ingredients and makes all the pasta etc. We tried 2 of the desserts - the chocolate pudding and salted caramel balls. They were both unique to Sprout but I didn't feel they were worth $14- each. The pastas were entree size $17- / main $26-. The wine was a bit expensive and there were few on offer by the glass. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious but our night was a bit let down by the very noisy environment, even though it was only about 75% full. Recommend you don't come here for an intimate dinner or if you can't climb stairs as there are quite a few of them to get you to the restaurant on the second level of the Crown and Anchor hotel."
