"Some friends and I ended up unexpectedly in Val d'Or for two weeks on a business trip. We found many beautiful places to eat in the city, but La Cage was by far our favorite. We ate here almost ten times, and everything we had on the menu was well prepared and delicious. My favorite is the roasted salmon, but the best mushroom burger was another treat. The best in this place is the service. Anyone who works here makes you welcome and appreciated as a guest. Every time I'm in Val d'Or, I'll make time to see a hockey game in La Cage."

"Pizzé is fairly new on Avenue Principale, and is a popular place for dinner on the weekends. This is an upscale restaurant with a small bar and lots of table seating. My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday night without a reservation. There were several large groups smiling and eating happily, but thankfully there were still a few tables left for us. The bar menu had a nice selection of mixed drinks, as well as wines. My boyfriend got an all-dressed pizza $18), while I had an almond and feta beet salad, which was listed under appetizers. Both were pretty decent. There were also a half dozen types of burgers listed, but none of them were vegetarian. The staff here are also very friendly; there are a lot of waitresses willing to help you at a moment's notice. The place was very clean and well-stocked. It would be a nice place to come back to with friends. This would be a nice place to hang out, but restaurants in Rouyn tend not to stay open late and are often closed by 10 pm at the latest. AFTER DINNER: Looking for something to do after dinner? Walk through the door Bar Le Groove, as the two businesses are connected. BEST WESTERN HOTEL: Clients at Best Western get a discount. "My girlfriend and I went for a day trip up to Témiscaming, and we decided to stop here at the Tem-Rose, we both went for the Tem-Rose burger and fries, it was so fresh, and absolutely delicious! Will definitely be back again! :)"
