"Lovely food, great atmosphere and good selection of drinks. Reasonable prices. Pool table and great size garden. Only advice I’d give is make sure you book as it sometimes gets really busy."

"Didn't use the hotel, only the pub. It's a big place, with loads of space at the bar and multiple rooms set out with tables. The place is busy and popular with lots of locals, with a good size beer garden. The whole place is aimed at adults, with no under 18s at the bar and no play area outside. The long bar has a decent beer selection, plus they have a section for real ales in kegs. It's a nice idea, with big glass doors to keep the temperature right. We visited on a bank holiday weekend, but unfortunately only one beer was on, the other two said coming soon. Timed that wrong."

"The meal was very good. However, the waiting time was quite long. We noticed other tables were also asking where their meal was as they had to wait quite a long time. People that had come in after us were getting their meals quite awhile before us. The staff were very polite and helpful. Just need to serve the meals a bit quicker please. Thanks."

"After my pescatar woman ordered some fish and chips (if they eat fish, she recommends the cod and chips). I ordered a green burger. I always get paranoid over places that sell meat and make me worry that I get real flesh, so in the rule for a safe option that they can not get wrong. they do not make a meat version of the green burger, so thought it was a safe bet. it came quite clear with a plant-based sticker that was burger itself ok if not a bit basic, I would give it 6/10. I had better chicken substitute burger from the super market, but considering limited vegan options in fish and chip shops this was more than welcome. the chips were delicious and we both got a very fair part. it is quite expensive, but the chips are good quality. my wife said that her meal was the best fish and chips she had one. they get what they pay for. if they are in the company of non-Veggies / vegans that are fish and chips or they just want a classic chip shop dinner then churchill’s have covered the vegan."
