"It was my birthday and decided to spend it at Capital Grille. To be honest the food was not up to standard. While the steak was cooked to temperature for me it was very chewy and not seasoned at all. My fiancé’s steak was not cooked to temperature and also was not seasoned. This being such a well known and reputable place, it was very disappointing. To be honest the best part of the meal was the birthday dessert. I’ve been here a few times and this was by far the worst of my experiences. Because it was a birthday celebration I didn’t want to be that person, but I’m not sure that I’ll be back."

"A lovely meal, with emphasis on quality ingredients perfectly prepared. The menu changes monthly or seasonally, and while I didn 't think the current selections had as much wow factor as on a previous visit, our server (Ryan) was outstanding. Nice ambience. And it 's good to know that the profits from an evening of fine dining are funneled into Hands on Hartford, a comprehensive food and training program for community residents."
