"Had a lovely date night at Bacaro, one of our favourite restaurants. The menu has changed since we last visited so we were looking forward to trying the new dishes. We had the olives, hummus with flatbread and beef croquettes (so good we ordered another plate) pork belly, salmon in filo pastry and Parmesan truffle fries, finishing with a brownie and pistachio gelato. The flavours were incredible, as always. Highly recommend The Chamberry cocktail too."

"Visited this restaurant for a business lunch having been here previously we had high expectations and were not disappointed. It is situated opposite the Town Quay and easy to walk to as there is little parking nearby. Excellent menu choices backed up with attentive service. We had some garlic bread whilst we made our menu choices. For starters we had Burrata Pugliese, Calamari and prosciutto E melon. All very good. Main courses we selected Tortelloni alla Norma a vegetarian pasta with aubergine and the rest of our party chose Pollo Bergamasco a chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto with spinach Tallegio cheese and came with dauphinois potatoes. Everything was really lovely, we were too full for pudding but had coffee. It is high end on price but the service, atmosphere and quality of food make it a worthwhile place to visit. A great place for a special treat or celebration. Washrooms were very smart with individual towels to dry your hands."

"Horrible service waited also 2 1/2 hours for soup and salad...family party of 5 Never ate together. Then the waitress said she had a miscommunication with the kitchen...2 out of 5 waited that long for soup. Manger apologized and said he take it off thebill....never did. My grandson tuna was uncutable!....the piano was a nice touch but at his break they blasted ClubMusic. Couldn 't wait to go.to eat there.....Couldn 't wait to leave....I understand pricey but with no service , no atmosphere,And no food....Forget this one. Going back to 75 Main: in Southampton."

"First time here. Food was delicious. Reminded me of Italy. Authentic. No heavy dishes smothered in sauce and cheese like other neighborhood spots. We wanted to try everything. We had them split a pasta dish so we could have as an appetizer pasta course. Worked out perfectly. Waiter was friendly and efficient. Never had to ask for anything. Black cherry Gelato was delicious too. Will definitely go back."
