"We were advised this was the pick of the numerous Indian restaurants around town, but leave with mixed emotions On one hand, the Butter Chicken was rich with flavour and the Tikka Masala was authentic and so well cooked. Additionally, the traditional Indian ice cream (more of a frozen flakey texture than creamy for those who haven't tried it) flavours of mango, pistachio and coconut were very enjoyable to finish off the night There were negatives, though. "Went twice for lunch this week because I'm working nearby. First got a small pumpkin masala and samosa. Samoso was tiny and was 10 bucks all up. Doesn't seem much but the small was SMALL. Gave them a second try yesterday and got a regular. This was 9.50 and was 80% rice, and pretty free of flavour. Naan was reasonable price, size and flavour-wise. The service varies"

"Beautiful food, wonderful service. My Son and I visited dawat the invitation this evening. We were greeted by the very friendly staff, who were also very kind my young son. We purchased 2 mains 2 rice 3 naan and 4 pappadums for $41 Takeaway. We took this home where my partner, myself and our son enjoyed the best idian we had ever had. Everything was perfect and we had pleantly left over. I highly recommend this as your next stop for quality authentic idian cuisine"

"We have been a couple of times at the Lipscombe Larder. This is only a shop with high quality food racing from salad bars to cake selection over cheese supplies. One can make an excellent salad from a wide range of optional ingredients. On the whole this show is not real cheap but seem to have a great variety of sumptuous food."

"While the business is still new and finding its feet, the staff are all very friendly and the food is definitely something not to miss. The curries are fairly priced and we were offered some extra rice for free when we ran out while dining in. Would really love to see this business succeed as it is run by lovely people and would hate to see them go - so go in and give them some support! The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very cosy and perfect for a nice winter meal. Will definitely become a regular here!"
