"Excellent for chocolate gifts and a caffe with a unique origin hot chocolate for every taste! my daughter used hot chocolate for milk with many toppings, but my dark Venezuelan chocolate with additional orange and chili was the bomb. they can choose from a series of dark, milk or white chocolate and then add from a series of beats and aromes to them. my drink was perfect as the two additive were subtle as they should be. they can pamper a chocolate fondue or really double with a brownie and a chocolate drink. they make brilliant gifts. to christmas I bought their shaped Coco beans that they can fill with their own choice of handmade chocolates, they sold huge chocolate Christmas balls and their hot chocolate single origin taste (to melt in hot chocolate) are the best quality. I'm a coffee person, but I drink hot chocolate here."

"Tend to always head to this coffee shop when in the city. Still absolutely great coffee but what on earth has happened to the bacon rolls? I assume a new cheaper supplier? More fat than bacon and a really unpleasant flavour, tasted cheap and nasty. You’ve lost our custom!"

"I wanted to eat with my sister and eat. very friendly. always have the 1/2 huh, because I absolutely love the southern style gravy. my nan had the fish and chips. I tried myself, and I must say it was the best fish I've ever tried. it was perfect. recommended for those who sat on the next table. what the ordered. choc orange brot and butter pudding is to die. amazing lunch and great atmosphere. can not wait to go back"

"Glad we booked as this appeared to be a popular restaurant. There is a good range of food on the menu to suit most palate and at a reasonable price. The visit was on a Thursday night which is curry night and a free dessert was included in the price. The beef madras was a good choice, having plenty of flavour and not ruined by overdoing the heat. I would have liked the sauce to have been a bit thicker but that is just a minor quibble. My wife went for the beef brisket which was an excellent choice, with plenty of meat that would fill most diners. Overall we were happy with this visit and would definitely return in the future."

"This was my first visit to The Salutation. I took a friend there for a special birthday. We don’t live in Topsham so it was a specially researched plan for a treat. She enjoyed her lunch immensely and so did I. Phew! The limited but sophisticated menu made for easy choices. We both loved our meal. The service was welcoming and attentive in a pleasant room. Being glass, it was very light and bright. The food on the plates were beautifully arranged and it tasted as good as it looked. This is not a cheap place but I think it was worth the money for a special occasion. Thank you."
