"Between our two Port-Celler tours we needed some lunch. Along the river on the Nova de Gaia side of Porto, there are TONS of restaurants catering for tourists... this is at the end of the main road (after the bridge), and worth the...extra 3 minutes walk. It's a bit more pricier than the others, but AGAIN... WORTH IT. We ordered cod butter that were the BEST we had here in Porto, followed by two steaks that were perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned (now this is a Christmas miracle) We had left the bread first, but after we saw the olive oil around my plate... I asked. Nothing on our plates was an afterthought (potatoes, vegetables) and we ended with a lemon tart (yummy)."

"Dinner for four with a great view over the river to Ribeira lit in the night. Efficient if not too friendly staff, reasonable prices and a decent wine list, but the real highlight for me was the tripas trip with white beans... and chourico cooked. I appreciate that this is not every taste, but it was one of the best things I ate the whole trip. The menu is long and varied enough to accommodate most taste, although my wife reported that the lasagna was 'unusual'."

"This is a very nice restaurant, with a superb decor, good food. The service is friendly, but absent-minded (they forget basic things, like bringing the bread after the butter, or glass refiling). The wine list is good. The price list is a little too high for the outcome. But it is surely worth a visit."

"Having been entertained superbly for lunch, we were not exactly hungry, so, having studied the menu offer, decided that we did not need a desert and took a started and main course. When it came to the bill, we noticed that we had been charged for two menus. Having challenged this,the waiter came back and said that it was cheaper to take two menus, because then the bread, butter and water would not be charged. What wonderful service! How often would you find a restaurant actually saving the customer money rather than charging every cent? By the way, the food was superb and the wine list was extensive and the price was good too! The only sad note was that the restaurant was nearly empty."
