"Visiting my nephew at the university we wandered through the lovely gallery to the restaurant and decided on a hot lunch. Delicious whole marinaded chicken breast with Caesar salad plus glass of wine. Fruit flapjacks to take away for later! Really tasty and good value. Beautiful setting overlooking greenery and so light and airy. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. A great place."

"We were a party of 10 who recently had our xmas meal at the River Garden. The staff were friendly and efficient, the food was tasty, hot with decent portions. Special mention to the home made lemon cheesecake which just melted in your mouth. We will definitely be back"

"Back again at P82 to celebrate a birthday. We enjoy eating in the bar. Started off with two glasses of wine and some dinner rolls. Again we ordered the Delmonico (med rare) with mash potatoes, asparagus and a Cesar salad. Wine and rolls came but unfortunately with no plates. However we managed and enjoyed both. The steak was cooked perfectly, mash potatoes excellent, unfortunately the asparagus portion was lacking (I'm guessing one piece cut into three pieces. To be fair all we're very good. I've given four stars only because I felt the service could have been better. No bread plates, I had to ask for an additional steak knife (there was two of us), salad was served with the meal (prefer it before so I can enjoy it w/o rushing so that the main entre doesn't get cold). Attention to little details makes for a more enjoyable dinning experience. With that said, it's worth a visit!"

"We saw a recent negative review from a person that came off from the river board trip and had a bad experience with his food. His comment then has disappeared. Happy then we saw a positive review although only one delivery of one set of food to her grandchild. we then are agreeable with the last people that got food tonight. The lady serving wandered about with the tray of food out in the open with no idea where .she was supposed to set it to. The lady behind the bar said she could not offer us any more food but the timing on their website says the could. She pointed to a table inside the restaurant and said we should ask them and that they where the managers of the pub and they were unapproachable because they were eating and entertaining Thier own private group. Even worse, the ladies toilet said on a scribbled note ....don't use the hot tap ? There were other laminated notices pulled from the wall and propped up next to the sinks. Surly you cannot run a restaurant this scruffy. Can this establishment please be inspected. I shall now report this because even running as a pub the toilets are horrid."
