"While staying at Hotel Wildbach we dined at the restaurant for breakfast and for dinner. The waitstaff seemed a bit abrupt at first but then we realized they were trying very hard to make sure we were extremely pleased. German atmosphere. Food was good and plentiful."

"Wir waren 8 Personen und wollten ohne Reservation am Abend auf der Terrasse mit schöner Brienzer Aussicht zu Abend essen. Da meine Eltern jahrzehntelang Stammgäste im Panorama waren entschieden wir uns für dieses Lokal. Uns wurde mitgeteilt, dass kein Platz auf der Terrasse sei, obwohl leere Tische und Einzelbestzungen vorhanden waren. Wir wurden mehrmals angelogen bzgl. freien Plätze oder unsere Anfrage ignoriert. Erst auf Insistieren "durften" wir, sehr zum Missfallen der Bedienung auf der Terrasse Platz nehmen, was die Bedienung deutlich zum Ausdruck brachte. Als einem unserer Gäste ein Glas umfiel reagierte die Bedienung, die mehrmals am Tisch vorbeiging erst nach mehrerer Minuten nachdem sich das Getränk auf den ganzen Tisch verteilt hatte. Das ist genau die Art von Unfreundlichkeit, die Gäste ins Ausland treibt. Das Essen war gut (mit Ausnahme des Spinats mit Knoblauchberg) und reichlich (Cordon bleu selbstgemacht!). Die schmucklose Terrasse hat einen schönen Anblick; das Interieur ist eine Katastrophe aus den frühen 80-er Jahre und gehört dringend renoviert."

"Took the train from Grindelwald to beautiful Lake Brienz. It was tough finding a place to eat, so we stopped into one of the first places that was open (bad idea). They had a very limited menu, so one would not think you could mess...that up wrong! The pizza was terrible. Soggy crust, pizza seemed very uncooked. Advice: hire a pizza chef, get a good oven. Oh Espresso was good."

"Eat here and to the coffee when we missed the boat, the train or the bus. ideal for transport connections in the area. staff very friendly and toilets clean. many seats outside with magnificent view of the lake and the coming and going of. brienz"

"After spending the whole afternoon in Brienz village, we wanted to have some desserts (incl. Berner Nusstorte). It was around 6pm. This was the only café opened at this time. Nothing special rather a bit strange look like leaving room of the private house rebuilt to a cafeteria. Good things is that kids may play with some toys here in the salon. Desserts are average. You may buy the same in Migros. Drinks are behind our expectations. Cappuccino, latte macciato was a bit cold."
