"Our 6 year old wanted to eat at a buffet, so Charlies Diner it was. It doesn't have the large selection of the Watermark in Glenelg but this is reflected in the price, the kids were happy with their favourites being on offer also a free refill softdrink won them over, the carvery veges were really good (meat a little dry) but also a mix of pizza, tacos, salad and asian food on offer so you should find something you will like. They provided hand sanitizer which i appreciated - however convincing diners to use it before using the shared serving spoons is another thing. Charlies Diner is what it is, quick cheap eats for a non-fancy mid week evening out, nothing fancy but not bad either."

"4.5 stars. Calamari, and grilled whiting snapper were awesome! Chips were ok, not fantastic, which is why lose .5 star. Doug's place has a great atmopshere and the queues show how popular the food is. In a great spot, where you can walk across the road to sit by the beach at sunset!"

"This is a small stylish cafe, run by a very experienced chef Ash, with Australian and European experience, The meals are different to the usual cafe menu and really tantalise your taste buds. It is also reasonably priced. The wait staff are very friendly and helpful, if what one fancies is not the menu, one just needs to ask and if the ingredients are available you requirements are met."

"The food took an incredibly long time to come and serve was small. The staff was nice, but definitely communication problems. While we were waiting, we saw the food was returned. The fish was a reasonable size. The external flushing was cleaned clean and regularly. Value for money... was questionable."

"Loved this quirky little bar and had no idea it was there ! I should probably get out more...Great environment, relaxed and enjoyable for a Sunday afternoon. Love the food truck in the back area and the staff were very friendly and accomodating. We will be back soon !"

"The service is great. The coffee isn't. I know. It's going to be different with no moo juice. It was too big a step for me apparently. Drinkable, but not coffee. Now the food, well two dishes, both were great. It's vegan food, so the tastes are quite different, and beautifully complex compared to a meat dish. Overall, a good place, just skip the coffee."
